What Is GANA?

Goldendoodle Association

of North America

The Goldendoodle Association of North America, Inc. (www.GoldendoodleAssociation.com) is a non-profit organization established in 2009. GANA's primary goal is to establish guidelines for breeders in the development of the Goldendoodle in order to establish reliability in coat, type, health and temperament. GANA is the first and only breed club established for the Goldendoodle. A registry database is used to document the lineage of the GANA Goldendoodle. This insures that only Goldendoodles registered with GANA will produce offspring that can be registered with GANA. Membership is limited to breeders who provide proof of all health tests and clearances on all of their breeding parents. Breeders must also agree to a Code of Ethics regarding their breeding practices and care of their dogs. You should always work with a Goldendoodle Breeder that meets the GANA standards. Look for the Goldendoodle Association of North America logo on their website.
